It’s 1st July and time to move the herd from the south to north marsh. The video follows the cattle on their mile long journey from the south marsh entrance section to the north marsh and Hoo Wood Pasture.
When I plug in my earphones and play this video at the start of next year’s growing season, it will be like travelling back in time; it’s all about visual cues.
Tulip was grazing with the herd at South Pool this afternoon, but there was no sign of her calf – she had hidden it. Tulip being a trusting cow, walked me to the far end of the pasture to see her calf in its hiding place.
