Tulip was grazing with the herd at South Pool this afternoon, but there was no sign of her calf – she had hidden it. Tulip being a trusting cow, walked me to the far end of the pasture to see her calf in its hiding place.

Tulip has been away from the herd a lot over the last few days. I knew she was pregnant and was not far from giving birth because her udder had dropped and increased in volume.
