Sunrise: 07.03  Sunset: 06.55 The marsh ivy is pollinating and attracting insects. In Hoo Wood, on a hill alongside the marsh, the ivy is a week or two behind.

30th September 2012: I stumbled on a couple of fresh badgers setts this evening. They are very well hidden with large entrances. They are constructed slightly differently to other long-established examples on the marsh. Two main entrances about six metres apart have been dug horizontally straight into an earth bank.
