Tracks in the Snow

PAWPRINTS IN THE SNOW: It snowed overnight, so today is another opportunity to video the marsh painted in a different colour scheme. A blanket of snow records pawprints of animals that walk or run across it. Alas, animals were not very active overnight, or fresh snow had covered their tracks. I found pawprints belonging to an American mink, and others belonging to Red Dog and his vixen. Two track lines showed that Red Dog and his vixen had passed through a stock fence, one behind the other, on a hunting trip. They then split up to circle a thicket from opposing directions. If one fox flushed out prey, the other fox would rush up and grab the fleeing animal.
