Himalayan Balsam Munchers

Another gorgeous evening on Wilden Marsh yesterday, with buzzards soaring and calling over South Pool. The cattle had eaten the Himalayan balsam in Hillary Road field and were congregating around the gate to the South Riverside Entrance Section when I arrived. My helper, Waynetta Galloway, was the first to come over to say hello. I think her opinion is that it’s time to move on. I’ll probably give them access to the entrance section tomorrow; there is a patch of balsam down by the scrapyard.
