Good Signs and Observations at Wilden Marsh Nature Reserve
My thanks to Mike Averill for this image, shot on one of his frequent dipwell water level measuring and recording forays at Wilden Marsh. Mike reports:
“Had a terrific round on Thursday in good weather at Wilden Marsh, with loads of insects around. Other than the Soldier fly, there were blue Shield bugs and those Chinchbugs again, various beetles, and much more to be reported to the WBRC.
One thing that struck me was the large numbers of Banded Demoiselle all along the river banks and into the Reserve. I can’t think of anywhere along the Stour that has had that many good signs for water quality.”

There is so much to observe if we look.
That’s one of my favourite observations, Sherry.
