Southern Marsh Orchid Count and a Curlew

The first three video clips show my unsuccessful attempts at locating a curlew in the Rhombus Field. The rest shows some of the southern marsh orchids I counted this evening. Ragged robin, cuckoo flowers and yellow flag irises are also plentiful this year.

I counted 625 southern marsh orchids in North Pasture, 915 in the Tenant Farmer’s Field, 78 in the Northern Corridor, and a couple of hundred in the Orchid Field. So that’s a total of 1818 southern marsh orchids on Wilden Marsh, so far.
