Grazing Strategies

I let the marsh herd into the Tenant Farmer’s Field today, which is full of tall grass that has not been grazed this growing season. The Shetland cattle always rush into a field and try to find the best grass, whilst Wayne and Waynetta Galloway always start grazing at the gate and work their way methodically though the field. I think the Galloways have the most efficient grazing strategy.

Being from the south of Scotland. W and W have probably learned to take what they can before someone snatches it away.
