Two Days and One Small Piece of Secluded Riverbank on Wilden Marsh Nature Reserve 30092018

I should have moved OtterCam to a new riverside position today – tomorrow will be the third day the camera trap had been monitoring this two square metres of riverbank. There was 155 thirty second long video clips on the memory card from the last twenty-four hours, and most of them feature mice. I am expecting an otter to turn up in this secluded riverside spot, but it is not happening. I’ve reduced the sensor sensitivity in the hope that it won’t pick-up the mice, so I’ll leave the trap it in position one more night. To help things along, I’ve placed a fish scent on a tree to see if this will entice an otter out of the river and in front of my camera lens.

  1. Has anyone made a camera that slowly changes its aim to follow a moving subject that it detects?
