The Wilden Marsh Blog

Monthly Archives: September 2018

Yesterday I moved a camera trap from under an apple tree and pointed it at a small piece of secluded riverbank on Wilden Marsh Nature Reserve, hoping to capture a video clip or two of an otter.

I placed a camera trap under one of Wilden Marsh Nature Reserve’s many apple trees and collected 196 thirty seconds long videos. The videos capture foxes, does, stags, fawns, foxes and stags eating side-by-side, and pheasants. I have condensed 98 minutes of video to six and a half minutes:

I have a lot of fox footage from this camera trap position; they obviously like crushed apples. The fox in this video has a brush to be proud of.
