I’m Letting the South Marsh Flourish This Growing Season.

I’m keeping the cattle off the south marsh this growing season; I’m allowing all its vegetation to flourish and seed. The north marsh pastures are getting light treatment from a smaller nursing herd until end of August. Come September, though, I’m hoping to get a herd of sixteen cattle grazing the south marsh for all they are worth, before giving the same hard treatment to the north marsh prior to next year’s growing season.

The marsh is ripe and golden right now.
