Heron watching the sunset over Wilden Marsh
Category: Wilden Marsh Nature Reserve
Very classy shot. Did you have to wait for the moment or were you just passing?
Thanks! I was walking along the Tenant Farmer’s Field Corridor this evening. Half a dozen herons flew away, but this on was so interested in the sunset that it didn’t notice me. So I was passing.
Skilled work to be passing just at the right time.
I guess you are right, Tom. It can take a lot of planning to pass a place at exactly the right time. In this case, though, pure chance held my hand.
It’s that old saying again, the more you practise the luckier you get.
Yes, definitely a great shot, Mike.
Beautiful, serene image 🙂

Thank you. It’s good to know that a heron can appreciate a sunset, Ellen.
It was a good sunset.
