Memories Light The Corners Of My Mind
Caught by my ever watchful BadgerCam in complete darkness, six years ago today. How quickly time seems to tick by! This image will remain imprinted on my mind for the rest of my life. It was one of those freak moments in time when life reminds us to expect the unexpected. The camera trap zapped me a second before a big old badger rushed out of the sett at the bottom right-hand corner of this image, frightening the living daylights out of me. I ended up lying in a pile of arms and legs at the bottom of the bank I was struggling up, wondering if I had died and descended into hell. Fortunately, I had only banged my head against a tree trunk.
Lucky your survived the fright.
Life is like that, sherry: some you win and some your lose. 🙂
Those earflaps probably scared the badger 😉
I never know what animals are thinking, which is probably a good thing.

I offer my condolences for any pain you may have suffered in your encounter with the badger, but the above made me laugh out loud, too loud in fact because my wife is giving me a funny look.
Thanks!
I’m glad the episode brighten your day. 🙂
