  1. Thanks for posting a photo of my favourite bird. What passes for a Robin here in the U.S. is just a dressed up Blackbird, and they head south in the Winter!

      • Interesting. Our Robins (Canadian) are among the first birds to show up after the winter. Where I live sometimes there is still a foot of snow on the ground. They are one tough bird…in my opinion. ~ Dave

      • The British Robin is with us all year. There is usually a Robin about when I’m working in my garden and on the marsh; they know that worms are easy pickings when I’m digging.

      • They are very smart birds.
        With so much snow about (and little food) I usually snow blow an area right down to the earth so they can at leash do some serious scratching until some better options come available.
