Willow Munching (Video)
The two belted Galloway cattle, Wayne and Waynetta, are quick to eat the more nutritional willow scrub in the North Riverside Pasture whilst the Shetlands eat lower protein content winter grass. Waynetta, in particular, is making the most of the willow scrub and Wayne is mopping up green bramble leaves. We will cut what is left of the willow scrub in early next year.
Willow contains acetylsalicylic acid, so it might be that Waynetta has a headache.
I had to have a sit down after watching this.
Why?
Because watching cows chewing is so relaxing 🙂
The excitement.
Hmm…I guess a post about munching is destined not to be exiting
Just look at those lovely lashes 🙂
She is a cute, useful, and surprisingly powerful for her size.
