I don’t think so. It was a sunny day.
So much for that bit of folk lore 😉
The marsh cattle lie down a lot. They were all flat out in Hoo Brook pasture when I checked on them late morning today.
Perhaps all that Himalayan balsam makes them gassy!
That might be true if there was any Himalayan balsam on the marsh for the cattle to eat, Ratty. I think they are trying to tell me that they don’t want to eat the nettles, docs and thistles. I locked them in Hoo Brook Pasture yesterday and overnight because I need them to get on with the job they are there to do.
Tell them they can’t have any pudding until they eat their greens!
That’s a difficult concept to put over to cattle.
