Hello Mike-
Yellow Flag is very lovely! Sadly, we are in the process of pulling any that we find in our wetland. In Oregon, it is identified as an EDRR species… Early Detection and Rapid Response. It is an invasive species that is part of a management approach that surveys and monitors areas to find and treat infestations at early stages of invasion. The idea is to implement control measures to prevent establishment and spread.

That’s a shame, Jane. I look forward to the blooming of our yellow flag irises; they add colour to a green scene.
