Heron and Chicks

There is always debate about how many nesting herons are at the heronry each year.

It is impossible to see all of the nesting heron in amongst the thick tree cover.

This video shows just one heron and her chicks. If you look carefully, the chicks are visible moving about the bottom of the nest. The image is a little wavy because I’m filming 150 metres from the nest.
