lol my silly answer…it’s a Bird Mike, it’s a Bird π
If you had read further than the title, Elisa, you will see I have offered too options. π
lol i did read and i went with my first thought π
Typical! π
Is it a reed warbler?
Is it?
I would say reed warbler, but I’m not sure, Richard.
Chirping warbler…………
Or fence post chirping warbler.
Wiggly Wet Warbler/Queen Fisher π
Hmm… You don’t know either, Doug.
With the markings on the wing and tail, I would say this is a Sedge Warbler and definitely not a Reed Warbler. π
It’s a sedge warbler, then!
Is this an old photo from a few years back?…I am sure I’ve seen this one before…its a great capture anyway!
It is. I have two of these images: one is titled reed warbler, and the other sedge warbler. This is why I’m confused. So you don’t know either, then. π
Like I said, it’s a Sedge Warbler! π I see a lot of them and Reed Warblers too…I just haven’t seen or heard a sedge warbler this year so far…
So it’s definitely a sedge warbler, then? You are absolutely sure it’s a sedge warbler, and I can delete the reed warbler?
Yes I am sure that this is a sedge warbler π ….definitely delete the reed warbler!
Ok. Thanks very much.
Hi Mike, I would say sedge going on the white stripe above the eye.
Sedge it is, then. Thanks Dave.
It’s a Wren. Sedge + Reed Warblers haven’t arrived here yet.
It’s not a recent photo, Neil. Do you still think it’s a wren?
not sure if my comment posted, but it’s not a warbler at all but a Wren. Sedge + Reed Warblers arrive next month.
So, it looks like it’s a wren, then!
I thought it was a wren but then what do I know?
Well, the fence post must be 75 to 100 mm in diameter.
And you photograph more tweetie birds than I do, Tom.
But very rarely is a wren in the frame.
I think it is a wren because of the wing markings and tail markings.
