Periwinkle

Spike and I walked through Hoo Wood in brilliant sunshine and cold winds this morning.

I photographed the first periwinkle of the year, tucked away inside a large bramble bush.

There are signs of rabbit activity around Dark Wood, Fox Hollow and the rocket factory. Spike was fairly hyper at the thought that he might get one, but this wasn’t his day.

The Hoo Wood fox’s paws were imprinted in the freshly dug soil around the rabbit borrows well before Spike arrived on the scene, and deer tracks are all over the place.

Glad medicinal affects were noted! Derivatives from this plant were part of a chemo-therapy regime that saved my life!! Lovely photo.
