Something to look forward to… perhaps!

I counted 16 heron perched in the heronry at one time earlier in the week, which is good, but surprising. Previous tree cutting activity near the heronry before the breeding season, resulted in very few eggs laid. It will be interesting to see what happens after this and last month’s tree cutting activity there. Chicks hatch between March and April.
