Tree climbing slugs are on the move.
Things are happening in the woods tonight; slugs are on the move, slowly climbing trunks and crawling over stumps. I counted 26 slugs, in extended line, on the trunk of a single birch tree. I think it might be egg laying time.
They’re so interesting, but the breathing openings kind of freak me out.
A little like a miniature land whale.
Are the purple things eggs? I see them in two pictures.
I think they are.
They are definitely up to something.
I reckon they are out looking for a good time.
I hope they found one!
I’m sure they had a wonderful jolly. I didn’t find any tree climbing slugs last night; I expect they were resting.
