And the permafrost is melting a lot faster than it should be.
Fortunately, the marsh water levels have remained high right through last summer.
We have had 3 wet summers in a row, for thr first time on 30 years, which might account for the high water table, but it might also be something to do with the new rock wiers in the Reserve section of the River Stour. Either way, I would like the high water levels to remain. We can easily let water out of the marsh, but we can’t put it in.
Bearsfoot is a winter flower blooming usually in December 😉
Is this plant a bearsfoot? I haven’t seen this plant on Hoo Wood until now.
