What a great photo. Beautiful flower and bees love it, but it seems it is an offence to plant it: http://www.himalayanbalsamwales.co.uk/en/himalayan-balsam/what-about-the-bees
It’s a very invasive plant. Cattle are a good way of controlling Himalayan balsam, pulling it out of the ground is another. It is 8 feet tall on places, on the marsh. It’s a problem I’m Hoo Wood, too.
Great capture!
Thank you, Michelle.
I have been spotting my bees returning with silver badger-style stripes.
What type of bee is that, Emily. It’s not the badger striped badger bee, is it? 😉
It is you know!
