Might I interpret that the walnuts love slugs for dinner? If so, walnuts will always be welcome in my yard. Always.
I don’t know why, but there is always a slug or two close to the Walnut. There is often a slug sleeping-over in her nest.
Hm…must have some symbiotic relationship…
I am thinking similarly.
Is she eating the slug’s slime? Looks like she’s spun some silk over it.
Slug slime is rich in protein, Emily. I have heard that slug slime is very good at reducing wrinkles, and is used in beauty products.
Interesting! Perhaps Walnut is trying to attract suitors.
