The buds of this Hoo Wood flowering currant have hung about for ages, waiting for warmth and energy from yesterday’s sun. Today, though, some of the buds have bloomed.

I have heard of this being called Flowering Tomcats because of the smell! I hope to do a blog post on this soon as the one in the garden is blooming well. But my photos won’t be as good as yours “sigh” 😉
