I’m partial to a walnut of an evening.
Sunrise: 07.07 Sunset: 05.39
Every evening I creep up on this walnut’s nest; every evening she is waiting for me just outside her front door. Her body is as big as my fist. She spits at my torch beam: arachnophobes nightmare, if truth be told. She is beautiful, though, and I can’t resist stealing her image. She’ll not accept my company for long and soon retreats indoors.
Sounds like the relationship needs working on 😉
My advice is never kiss a spider, and stay well away from her fangs.
Sage advice, probably didn’t really need to give it!
Good advice should not be kept to one’s self.
😉
😉
There are actually spiders that big! I like spiders. I just don’t know how I’d handle one even near that size.
My advice is not to handle a spider, especially one as big as my fist.
Good advice should not be kept to one’s self.
I meant “handle” as in taking close pictures. Not handle as in handle. That was an amazing picture!
I meant handle, as in ‘handle’, too. I’m glad that you appreciate the image. 😉
That is one big spider. I didn’t realise orb spiders got that big.
I’m joking about her size, Julia. She is 15 mm long, perfectly formed, and very attractive. 😃
I like looking at her, at least on a screen.
I thought that you would like the walnut, Emily, as I was photographing her. 😊
She is beautiful … in her own way. Orb spiders can get pretty big!
She is and they can, Debi.
Mike has small fists
I wear size 12 boots and extra large gloves, Marc. 😉
I think your friend the spider is gorgeous Mike. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for looking, Mark.
