Why dreaded? The bees love it.
The bees do like the Himalayan balsam blooms, Emily, and so do I, but it swamps our native plants. If Himalayan balsam is not controlled, then it might only be Himalayan balsam blooms that we will be seeing in the future; it is extremely invasive.
I see. What are the best control methods?
Pull it out of the ground, whenever it appears, or graze it, Emily.
Thanks. I’ll go for the pulling method, grazing it might be hard on my teeth.
It should be pulled before it seeds. 🙂
