Oak tree dwelling spiders.
29th November 2012: A vixen screamed from the blackness of the lagoon field, as I photographed this spider. A dog fox barked and snarled. This years fox family is breaking up. I’ve noticed their increased aggression over the past two weeks. Last year’s young adults are being chased away to find and establish their own territories. The vixen is investigating earths for next year’s cubs. I will shortly start my search for the den in readiness for my fox watching and photographing activities in the new year. It’s the never ending circle of life.
I would love to hear how you go about finding the fox den. What do you look for, and where? Thanks.
