Tree Slug (Limax marginatus).

11th November 2012: It was another nighttime tree-climbing-slug hunt for me last evening, with the temperature hovering around freezing. The sky was clear; stars twinkled, but the wood was as dark as Old Nick’s coal-hole. Cold and darkness didn’t seem to affect the masses of algae-grazing tree slugs; they plainly prefer oak tree trunks in this part of the world.
