Feathers!
24th July 2012: There isn’t much happening in Hoo Wood at the moment. Most of the blooms have withered away, apart from Himalayan balsam and honeysuckle. We are entering a period of green, when nothing much happens. Anyway, Walking through the wood, there wasn’t much to capture my imagination, so I photographed a few feathers … not very inspiring!
I like your beattiful white feather so pretty and soft looking, trade you for some long Turkey ones! Have a wonderful day.
Thank you! 🙂
🙂
I think the feathers make lovely images – their softness & simplicity cannot compare with anything else.
Thank you, Vicki. 🙂
Beautiful feather photos. I love them. 😉
Thank you. 🙂
totally gorgeous mike …. one day i will get that macro lens!
Thank you, Christine. Don’t forget that you will need steady hands to go with the macro lens. 😉
These inspired me Mike….I found a Pelican feather yesterday..love them in flight..so maybe I’ll
Try to photograph it. What is your macro lens……I was going to buy one, but ended up with a 12-24 wide angle, which I love..but someday want to try macro…but I know it’s HARD, so I wondered
What you would recommend..then I can put it on my “someday” list 🙂
I use a canon 500D camera and a 60 mm EFS f2.8 macro lens. As with many other things, Suzanne, the more you use it, the easier it becomes. 🙂
Great images Mike. Every time I try to photograph a feather it ends up looking awful.
Thanks, Jule. In my case, I think photographing feathers is a sign of boredom. 🙂
