Thank you, Bernie!:)
I want one in my garden!
Be careful what you wish for Gary. If you had one Himalayan balsam plant in your garden, it wouldn’t be long before most of Australia would be covered with them. What a popular chap you would be! 😉
Australia? Would they migrate through the center of the earth?
Now that is a silly notion, Gary. The Himalayan balsam might arrive in Australia the same way as it arrived in the UK: some thought it was pretty and wanted one for their garden! 😉
But I’m nowhere near Australia.
You are as near to Australia as I am, Gary. If Himalayan balsam can escape from a garden and invade the UK, it can do so almost anywhere in the world. All it takes is couple of balsam plants in a pot, a bee, and bingo they are growing everywhere. 😉
