23rd May 2012: The marsh was so hot and humid this evening that the twin water pipes I walk on to cross the swamp were sweating.
Damselflies hatched this week and are now as thick as flies, settling on everything.

(I ended up missing most of dragonflies and damselflies this past summer as I spent so much time at the zoo – have to rectify that and get some photos next summer). February is the best time going by my old photo dates.
