I have Vipers Bugloss growing in my garden Mike. It attracts a lot of insects! It has self seeded over the past few years, I am now waiting for this years crop to grow and flower, they are not as forward as the one in your image. A lovely insect attracting flower but spikey so care has to be taken at the end of the growing season!
Thanks. Pam. You must think that I have gone camera crazy lately, and you might be right. I am on a mission to photograph as many marsh blooms and insects as I possibly can this year.

Great shot, Mike. The sun was at just the right angle to catch those fine hairs.
